NGORONGORO CRATER – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – SERENETI NATIONAL PARK NORTH – MATERUNI WATERFALLS – MARANGU GATE – USAMBARA MOUNTAINS – LAKE MAGOROTO – TANGA

ARRIVAL DAY

Day (1)

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport where we meet and followed by an hour driving to the hotel in Arusha where you will be spending the night at TULIA HOTEL or similar (Full Board)

NGORONGORO CRATER 

Day (2)

Today you will have an early start to explore the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. One of the few area in Tanzania where you can find such as breathtaking blend and scenery and wildlife coupled with fascinating historical and cultural element. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world but it is also one of the new 7 natural wonders of Africa. After your morning game drive you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at Hippo picnic site. After your lunch you continue with your game drive then later on you will drive out from the crater and transferred to Serengeti National Park  where you will  overnight at SERENGETI REST HOUSE or similar (Full Board)

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK 

Day (3)

Today you will have a full day game drive in Serengeti keeping on exploring the variety of mammals and searching for the Big Five animals after your game drive late on evening you will head back to your lodge for overnight at SERENGETI REST HOUSE or similar (Full Board) 

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK NORTH 

Day (4)

Today after your breakfast you will have on route game drive as you heading to North Serengeti  exploring the Great Wildebeest Migration. Dinner and overnight at TANZANIA BUSH CAMP or similar (Full Board)

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK NORTH 

Day (5)

Today you will have a full day game drive exploring the Great Wildebeest Migration and variety of mammals, birds and reptiles species and not to forget the breathtaking scenery and sun sets. After your game drive you will be taken back to your lodge where you will spend the night at TANZANIA BUSH CAMP or similar (Full Board)

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK NORTH – ARUSHA 

Day (6)

Today after your breakfast you will be transferred  to your hotel in Arusha  game drive will be on route then you will arrive at the hotel late on afternoon for dinner and overnight at TULIA HOTEL or similar (Full Board)

MATERUNI WATERFALLS AND COFFEE EXPERIENCE

Day (7)

After your breakfast you will be transferred to Moshi District and start drive to the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, up to Materuni village. From there you will hike for about 45 minutes and pass by the local coffee farmers where you will get a chance to hear and see how local farmers grow coffee and process it till sold. Also you will get time to prepare your own coffee and drink or take some home with you. You will walk for 45 minutes to the waterfall, passing villages of the Chagga, which is a native tribe that lives on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Near the waterfall you will have lunch and a possibility to rest and enjoy the nature around. You will see a variety of exotic plants and trees, coffee and banana trees, different fruits and animals, especially chameleon many different birds. Dinner and overnight at SECRET GARDEN LODGE or similar (Full Board)

DAY TRIP HIKING MOUNT KILIMANJARO VIA MARANGU GATE  

Day (8)

Today you will go for Kilimanjaro mountain trekking via Marangu route. A day hike involves going up to the first camp Mandara hut (2720m) and come back via the same route on the same day. There is a drive about 45km from Moshi town which will take 1 hour. At Marangu gate you have to do some registrations and payments for the park entrance fee to get a valid permit to start the hike. Marangu gate is 1879m above sea level and the distance to Mandara hut is 8km (16 km round trip), which will take 3 to 4 hours for each direction.On the way from the Marangu gate to Mandara hut you will cross the rain forest which is a dense forest, pure green with a lot of species of plants. If you are lucky you can see Blue Monkeys and a black and white Colobus Monkeys. After arrive at Mandara hut you will have your lunch and heading to Maundi crater where will take like 15 minutes walk from Mandara.This place offers a good view of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks and also good view of the Kenyan side ad Lake Chala and Jipe. During eruption the pressure was not enough to force magma to get out hence instead of rise up it formed a crater. From there you will start walk down to Marangu gate and this walk will take you about 2 hours walking slowly as you observe for anything that you might have missed on your way up. You will meet the transport to take you back for dinner and overnight at SECRET GARDEN LODGE or similar (Full Board)

LUSHOTO

Day (9) 

Driving from Moshi to Usambara mountains where you will arrive arround late on afternoon at Lushoto lodge you will have a walking tour arround the villages. Overnight at LUSHOTO PAZURI  LODGE or similar (Full Board)

USAMBARA MOUNTAINS

Day (10)

Explore the Usambara Mountains on the northeastern part of Tanzania. Beautiful landscapes, tropical forests and numerous spectacular viewpoints, historical sites, learn and know how we live in the Usambara Mountains, the community history of the indigenous Wasambaa, and the immigrant local tribe of pare and mbugu, local royality from the ancient to the Germany and British colonial era. Here is where you will get closer to Tanzanian people and learn more about real african culture before driving for dinner and overnight to Magoroto Estate.

FOREST ESATATE / MATHIAS CABINS or similar (Full Board)

LAKE MAGOROTO  

Day (11)

Magoroto with its tropical rain forest is the perfect spot for a getaway and outdoor camping. The estate is located on an altitude of 850m above sea level where temperatures are pleasant all year long. The estate offers stunning views from the Muheza Valley to the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the lush rain forest with rare plants and bird species, explore the dense tropical forest with organic spices or have a picnic or swim in the beautiful lake. Dinner and overnight at TANGA MKONGE HOTEL or similar (Full Board)

AMBONI CAVE & URITHI TANGA MUSEUM

Day (12)

After breakfast you will meet the cycling guide for the short introduction before starting your cycling tour.  You will find all the bicycle with packed drinking water and First Aid-Kit starting 40 minutes cycling to Amboni Caves where at the caves you will be spending not less than 2 hours then going back to town through Urithi Tanga Museum where you will get the entire history of Tanga and its people. At evening, starting your town tour by visiting historical sites like First World War site, different monuments  then after the activities in Tanga town you will be transferred back to Pangani  for your dinner and spend the night at PANGANI CLIFFS LODGE or similar (Full Board)

DEPARTURE – ZANZIBAR 

Day (13) 

Today after your breakfast you will be transferred to the south eastern shore of Tanga Region callled  Pangani  ready to take your private boat  to northern of Zanzibar called Nungwi normal time being in the boat from Tanga to Zanzibar is 2hrs. You will meet the driver guide who will pick up you up from Nungwi for transfer to your hotel in Zanzibar.
