One Week Tanzania Safari Itinerary

TARANGIRE NATIOAL PARK – LAKE EYASI – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER – MATERUNI WATER FALLS

ARRIVAL DAY

Day (1)

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport where we meet and followed by an hour driving to the hotel in Arusha where you will be spending the night at KIBO PALACE HOTEL or similar (Full Board)

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK 

Day (2)

You will be picked up at your hotel at 07:00am and transferred to Tarangire National Park to start off your game viewing experience in this magnificent park which is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammals population and variety of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentration of elephants in the country. After your game drive you will be transferred to Karatu for dinner and overnight at FARM OF DREAMS LODGE or similar (Full Board)

LAKE EYASI – BUSHMEN 

Day (3)

On this day you will wake up earlier in the morning around  06:00am for your walking safari with the Bushmen in Lake Eyasi 

Men will go for hunting with the Bushmen. Women go for collecting woods and local medicine, tubes and taking care of children. We will visit Datoga tribe (Black Smith). Later on afternoon we will drive back heading to Arusha for dinner and over night at FARM OF DREAMS LODGE or similar (Full Board)

SERENGETI NP 

Day (4)

Today after your breakfast you will be transferred to Serengeti National Park in a 4 x 4 safari  vehicle around noon you will have your lunch in Serengeti picnic site after lunch proceeding for game drive till late on evening then you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and  overnight at EMBALAKAI TENTED LODGE or similar (Full Board)

SERENGETI NATIONALPARK 

Day (5)

Today you will have full day game drive in Serengeti National Park keeping on exploring the variety of mammals and searching for the Big Five animals. After your game drive late on evening you will head back to your lodge for over night at EMBALAKAI TENTED LODGE or similar (Full Board)

 NGORONGORO CRATER 

Day (6)

Today you will have an early start to explore the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. One of the few area in Tanzania where you can find such as breathtaking blend and scenery and wildlife coupled with fascinating historical and cultural element. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world but it is also one of the new 7 natural wonders of Africa. After your morning game drive you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at Hippo picnic site. After your lunch continue with your game drive, around noon you will start drive out heading to Arusha where you will overnight at KIBO PALACE HOTEL or similar (Full Board)

MATERUNI WATERFALLS AND COFFEE EXPERIENCE 

Day (7)

Today after your breakfast around 09:00am you will depart from the lodge heading to Moshi where you will start driving to the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, up to Materuni village. From there you will hike for about 45 minutes and pass by the local coffee farmers where you will get a chance to hear and see how local farmers grow coffee and process it till sold. Also you will get time to prepare your own coffee and drink or take some home with you. You will walk for 45 minutes to the waterfall, passing villages of the Chagga, which is a native tribe that lives on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Near the waterfall you will have lunch and a possibility to rest and enjoy the nature around. You will see a variety of exotic plants and trees, coffee and banana trees, different fruits and animals, especially chameleon many different birds, after your amazing tour you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport just depend on your flight schedule with a very big smile and unforgettable memories experience from Tanzania.
